Faith is ALWAYS based upon some knowledge base. You drive down a two-lane highway at 60MPH while another vehicle heading in the opposite direction approaches you at 60MPH with only a dotted white line dividing you. Rules of the road. Faith is always based on knowledge.

There are a lot of things that can happen that can make a crop fail, just as there are a lot of things that can cause an accident on the road. Insects could eat the plants, a fire could raze them, drought could kill them. An oncoming driver could become incapacitated, become distracted, and veer into our lane. We still plant seeds in spite of the risks, we still drive cars in spite of the risks. That is the difference. It is because we do not know how things will turn out but we still try anyway that it is called faith.
